The Ultimate Movie Night...

Sunday, February 18, 2018

You may have noticed from previous posts, I much prefer a cosy night in to a mad night out. I believe I'm old before my time, and I don't mind one bit. From my numerous nights tucked up at home however, I do like to think I've learned a thing or two. So, today I thought I'd let you in on a few tips and tricks for the ultimate movie night, including what to watch... and how to watch it.

Set Up
First up, set up! Obviously, the most important part of movie night is something to watch it on. Something great at that. I'm thinking the full immersive experience and for me the best way to do this is with a HDR TV Panasonic. Brighter, Clearer, More Realistic. For the best movie night you want a top quality image, with amazing sound - the cinema experience in the comfort of your own home. Admittedly, something I never realised until my partner showed me the world of amazing telly's.

Food & Drink
Next up, snacks. Forget the diet because I'm thinking pizza, pick and mix and gin. For me it's a four cheese pizza, rhubarb and custard tubes with a big glass of Gordon's pink gin and Lemonade. If not why not put down a few nibbles just in case - after all no one can refuse a cheese puff or two! If you want to make it extra special, why not do a little baking before hand? You could even make a day of it!

Comfort
Lets face it, there's nothing worse than being stuck in the same position for a couple of hours and feeling uncomfortable. Do yourself a favour, put on some lounge pants (even better, some pjs!) and dig out your cosiest blanket. A cool idea here is to build a little fort out of cushions and blankets! Super cosy and adds a little extra fun to movie time!

Movies
Disney, Disney, Disney! Okay, so I am partial to the odd chick flick or superhero film too, but when it comes to movies I'm a massive Disney fan. Oh, not to mention a good Christmas film too! What's better than watching Arthur Christmas in HD in the middle of June? Not much. A few of my favourites are Beauty & the Beast, The Notebook and Wonder Woman but I'm always keen for recommendations.

Let me know, what are your top tips for movie night? How do you do it differently?
