Today's blog post literally has me brimming with excitement as this evening we went to the circus! That's right, me and my 23 year old fiancé went to Paulos Circus at Farmer Copleys, Pontefract and it - was - amazing!! Paulos Circus is currently presenting their #CreatingMemoriesTour2018 and just as they promise, it is a breath taking, laugh out loud and beautiful event all in one.
We went to the 5pm showing and arrived at about 4:45 to find it already packed to the door with people. When collecting our tickets from the office, we overheard people (who hadn't pre-booked) being turned away as it was full already so I think that speaks for itself really. A show not to be missed and definitely worth pre booking to avoid any disappointment!
Before the show, refreshments are available and there are also some toilets just outside the tent. The popcorn literally smelt amazing! There was also light up toys available for the children which got the kids even more excited once the lights went down!
Onto the show itself, I can honestly say it was all amazing and I experienced goosebumps, nerves and amazement numerous times through out the show. I don't want to give too much away as I thoroughly suggest you go see it yourself, but I will include my favourite moments etc below!
Trapeze. Wow. Now, it is a well known fact that I am quite often an emotional wreck, however, in this case it was truly deserved. I teared up watching this beautiful lady do her performance and it felt like the whole room was silent. The effects were stunning and really added to the act! I've attached a very short snippet below in hopes you can get a feel for it (and in hopes I don't get told off).
Another act I really enjoyed was the tightrope. I was sat far left so I actually got an amazing view of the beginning of the performance and managed to bag this pretty cool photo! The tightrope had me sat on the edge of my seat nervous but in awe!
All in all I would definitely recommend all families, couples etc to go and see this performance if possible as it is 100% worth the £7pp. There is an act for every member of the family and it makes for great evening entertainment.
Paulos Circus is currently at Farmer Copleys Farm Shop, Pontefract and is showing until Sunday 3rd June. They will then be travelling to Darts Farm, Topsham, Exeter!
