5 things I've learned since moving out

When I lived at home, my mum did literally everything for me. She washed my clothes, cooked my food and even tidied my room. With that in mind, it's not much of a surprise that moving out was a huge eye opener for me. That being said, I think I handled it pretty well. My partner does things like dealing with bill companies and putting out the bins but everything else, is really taken care of by me. (I like it this way - it keeps me busy) That's why today I thought I would create a little list of things that I have learned since moving out and would love to hear of anything you guys have learned too!

- Washing (Laundry) is never done
I swear our dirty washing multiplies in the basket! Often I do 2 loads of washing in a day but I swear there is always something in the basket. Even if there isn't - what about the clothes you're wearing? They'll have to go in next. And that white shirt? What can that go in with? It will have to stay in the bottom of the basket for a whites wash! Never ending!

- Washing clothes properly is not as easy as it looks
Thankfully I have done many loads of washing drama free. However, after dying all of my light grey towels, purple the other day I am beginning to realise it's not as easy as I initially thought. Good job it was only towels right?! I'm also 99% sure that my 'hand wash only' items will only get worn once and then will spend eternity in the wash basket!

- Cream Cleaner solves everything
This is actually something we learned when we were cleaning out our rented house and I am so grateful. Marks on your paintwork? Stains on the floor? Sink not shiny anymore? Cream cleaner! When we bought our house I bought such a huge bottle and I'll be honest, I'm already running a little low!

- It's the little things
I now find literally the smallest things extremely exciting! We took a trip to Tefal Outlet the other day and spent about £80 on pans. Usually the thought of spending £80 would make me feel sick but I was so giddy to get them home and use them! We have taken countless trips to places like The Range and I don't think I will ever get bored.

- You feel so proud
As grateful as I am for my parents putting up with us for 7 months (well they actually put up with me for approx. 21 years) there is nothing quite like saying you live in your own home. I look at our house and I feel so proud of what we have achieved and what we have made of it. I can't wait for the future.
