Face of the Day

This past week I have being feeling very indecisive. Do I cut my hair short? Should I switch up my makeup/skincare? Shall I get a tattoo? (The last one is a little extreme I must admit). So yesterday I felt was the time to switch things up a little from my normal everyday routine.
While I was getting ready I decided to do a  before and after shot so I can share what products I used etc.

I started by washing my hair with the Herbal Essences Moroccan My Shine Shampoo and leaving it to dry naturally whilst I did my make-up. When using this shampoo I don't tend to use a conditioner as I find it makes my hair too oily but the shampoo definitely keeps my hair moisturised and looking healthy.

Make-up wise I wore a lot more than usual which was also down to the fact my skin isn't the best at the moment.

For base I used my L'Oreal Paris True Match Foundation in the shade N1 followed by Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair 1. These are my holy grail base products as I find they have a good coverage and the shades match my skin perfectly (and i'm SO pale so that's a plus!).
I then followed this up with the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in 001 Transparent to set my base into place.

After this a contoured my cheeks with the Body Shop Honey Bronzer in the shade 01 Light Matte and added a hint of colour to the apples of my cheeks with the Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks in Peach Melba.

Then I simply filled in my brows with the Soap and Glory Archery Brow Tint and Pencil in Love is Blonde  and added a few coats of the L'Oreal Paris False Lash Telescopic - Magnetic Black to my lashes. With another dusting of the Stay Matte powder and a swipe of Burt's Bees Hydrating Lip Balm in Coconut and Pear, that was my face finished!

For my hair I sectioned it off into 3 layers, as it's quite thick, and used my CarmenHair Thermal Moisture Lock Multi styler with the thick tong attachment on the end to create soft bouncy curls. Once all the sections were curled I just ran my fingers through my hair quickly to loosen the curls a little and sprayed some Wella Silvikrin Maximum Hold hairspray throughout the whole hairstyle.

I must admit I was pretty happy with the outcome and it made a nice change from the usual.

What do you think? Let me know what you do when you're feeling like a change!
