July Favourites

Sunday, August 3, 2014

Seen as it is now August already, I thought I would share with you what I have been loving over the month of July. I know for sure that a few of them will be staples in my collection from now on!

Dove Style+Care Replenishment and Heat Protect Spray - £4.59

Previously, I have never been the type of person who uses any heat protection but recently I have been curling my hair which definitely has had an effect on it's condition. My hair tends to get oily if I use too many new products on it so I do go on peoples recommendations to be on the safe side. This is a product I saw Youtuber Faye from FayesFix rave about, so I knew it had to be good! I will just say now, I was not disappointed. The smell is absolutely to die for and my hair looks noticeably less dry when I have used it (and not greasy either). A winner in my eyes!

Batiste Dry Shampoo Cherry - Fruity & Cheeky - £2.99

Do I really need to speak about this product?
This is by far my favourite dry shampoo and Cherry is also my preferred scent out of the range. Perfect for in between days, making my hair look fresh and full of volume.

Victoria Beckham Signature - £35.50

This is the perfume I have been reaching for everyday for work and I'm really enjoying using it. I'm not great at describing scents (who is?!) but it's a nice one when you want something a bit more 'grown up' but not too mature. It is not in any way overpowering yet stays on the skin all day and is usually on sale at the perfume shop too. Bonus!

Burt's Bees® Hydrating Lip Balm - Coconut & Pear - £3.69

When shopping in Boots last month there was a 3 for 2 offer on most items and I thought this was a perfect opportunity to try some new items. I needed a new lip balm but didn't have anything in particular in mind so thought I would try a Burt's Bees one. The smell of this is really nice and I have definitely noticed a difference since using it. I usually put a small amount of this on before I start my makeup so when I get to my lips they aren't too dry for lipstick or I put a few swipes on before bed to really nourish my lips when I sleep. I must admit when I use it at night I feel like there is a film over my lips when I wake up but as soon as I have washed my face it just leaves my lips feeling soft.

Soap & Glory Brow Archery - Love is Blonde - £10

This month it's been all about the brows. With a simple base of concealer and powder and a swipe of mascara on the lashes I have felt complete once the brows were in place.
This product is just a saviour! I have tried powers and pencils before but nothing has given results like this! What I tend to do is simply brush my eyebrows though with a spooly and then use the felt tip nib in small light strokes to create 'hairs' in the sparse areas of my brows. It really helps give great shape to my brows whilst still looking natural.

Body Shop Face and Body Brush - £16

There isn't really much to say about this product other than it is extremely soft and a pleasure to put my powder on with. This brush helps give an even coverage of powder without being too heavy and cakey. I have also heard great things from other family members about Body Shop brushes lasting a really long time! The only downside is that the brush is rather large so probably not the best for travelling and touch ups out and about.

Lastly, I have really been enjoying my CarmenHair Thermal Moisture Lock Multi styler with the thick tong attachment on the end. This is unfortunately no longer available to buy but has been working wonders on my thick hair to create big bouncy curls that last all day!

So that's it! Let me know do you like any of these products? What have your favourites been for the month of July?
