I've Got A Jacuzzi On My Balcony

Recently, Kallum and I decided to try and have a little getaway each month (when financially possible of course) and as Kallum chose last months hotel/destination, this month was down to me. After a few days searching the web (mainly Hoseasons) I decided on a lodge at Ribblesdale Park and oh boy, we have not been disappointed.

Check in was Monday at 4pm but as we had quite a drive (75 miles) we set off early to get there in plenty of time. We ended up arriving at about 3pm but the lovely people at Reception (also doubled up as Hindelinies Cafe) said our lodge was ready and let us go in an hour earlier which was really good. After a short while of settling in a friendly lady turned up to make sure everything was to our satisfaction and just to tell us how to use a few things. I felt this was a perfect way to make us feel at ease and definitely added extra brownie points from me!

As I'm sure you can see, the lodge was absolutely unbelievable and we managed to get a real bargain for 4 nights! Everything was spotless and there was literally everything you could possibly need for a stay. I was particularly impressed by the fact we had things like a cheese grater, tea towels etc - I've stayed in a lodge before that literally had nothing so this was very handy!

In terms of things to do, we did spend most of our time in the lodge but we did nip out a couple of days! I've decided to save these little excursions for another blog post to stay tuned if you're interested!

Our favourite parts of the lodge may have been (I mean, there's just too much to choose from) the luxury bathroom and the hot tub. To our amazement the bath actually had a Jacuzzi setting so that felt extra luxurious whilst sat watching the TV in the bedroom (perks of an open plan bedroom/bathroom). Then, of course, the hot tub was a bonus - one of the main reasons we looked at a lodge holiday and certainly didn't disappoint! It also left Kallum repeating the Big Bang Theory Quote over and over again which is why it made it as my post title!

During our stay we felt we had to try the on-site cafe/restaurant (which I mentioned earlier) and after having tea there once we ended up going back for tea another night and having breakfast there one morning too. I didn't manage to take photos of all the meals as I was trying to have a nice phone free meal but I can 100% recommend the Mushroom and Tarragon Pizza and also the Tagliatelle from the specials menu!
In terms of breakfast I will let the photos do the talking! Side note - the pancakes where incredibly delicious but oh so sickly!

So that's a lovely little round up of our 4 nights away. Like I've said, I couldn't recommend Ribblesdale Park enough and I definitely would like to return!

Let me know, have you ever stayed at Ribblesdale? Would you like to? Or, Could you recommend somewhere else?
