Longleat - Main Square

Thursday, May 10, 2018

I mentioned in this post last week that we recently took a little trip to Centerparcs, Longleat and while we were there we couldn't miss the opportunity to visit Longleat Safari Park. Packed with my big girl camera, I took hundreds of photos which is why I've split this into two posts. Part 2 shall be up shortly, but for now, keep scrolling for part 1 - Main Square!

Now, these photos may look like the weather was glorious, but unfortunately there was quite a lot of rain showers. We skipped Longleat House in order to see the outside stuff when the weather was nice, however it did look stunning and if we ever went again I would like a look round!

Outside in the square were some statues and cute little mazes on the floor. There was actually a full sized maze too which was really fun (and super muddy)! I'd like to say I got photos of that but I was having too much of a good time being a big kid!

We went on a little train to go round some of the park and hopped off to visit the outside animals like meerkats, lemur and penguin. We also went through a little petting area where butterflies flew around our heads and I got to hold a snake! Kallum was not game to hold a snake but did hold a little pot of nectar through a bird enclosure and turned into a bird post for 10 minutes.

We all thoroughly enjoyed Longleat and I think the photos do the talking here! Let me know, have you ever visited Longleat? Stay tuned for the Safari photos coming real soon!
