Malton Grange Lodges

Monday, November 16, 2020

Back in September we celebrated our first wedding anniversary and decided to book a lodge as with COVID we couldn't stick to our original plan of going abroad. We had been looking for somewhere to stay for about a month before but with UK breaks been in such high demand at the moment we struggled to find something that had both a good price and good reviews. Flash forward to the morning of our wedding anniversary when I stumbled across Northern Holiday Lodges and by some miracle we managed to get a lodge booked for that same day for 4 nights! Talk about customer service!

When we first got there I was so giddy as they had left us a little card and gift for our wedding anniversary! I always think small touches like this really make stays away more memorable.
First impressions of the lodge were absolutely amazing and more importantly everything felt really safe with how they were handling COVID. The lodge itself was so clean and I would definitely say its in our top 3 of lodges that we've stayed in.

The lodge itself had 2 bedrooms - a double room and a room with two singles and also two bathrooms (one on-suite and one main bathroom) so was obviously plenty big enough for the two of us. Another lovely added touch was the towel art and petals on the main bed!

Inside the lodge was everything we needed from cutlery to towels - we did however take a few things of our own just incase such as a tea towel, washing up liquid and a bath towel each too! There was however everything we needed for eating and drinking for the 5 days (minus actual food and drink obviously which we took ourselves in the form of meal prep).

Malton Grange Lodges was just a short 8 minute drive from Malton town which was actually really lovely to walk around and had a good selection of shops including both an Asda and a Morrisons. We also took a drive out to Scarborough one day which was about 50 minutes away and is one of my favourite places. We took a walk down the front and had an ice cream while trying our best to social distance. On the days we didn't feel like venturing out however, it was really nice to just sit in the living area with the doors open and the sun beaming in or in the hot tub on the decking.

Our little break away was definitely one of the best moments of 2020 so far and it was made so much better with how accommodating Malton Grange were. We really did have an amazing week and have already said we will go back in a heartbeat! Without a doubt I would definitely recommend them for a little UK break away!

Let me know, have you ever stayed at any of the Northern Holiday Lodges? If not, where would you recommend for a hot tub holiday?
